Sophisticats Week 5

Week 5 already over at Sophisticats and we've a lovely sketch by Cheryl to follow this week and this is my card.

I've used a stamp by Pink Gem Designs, and I'm going to enter it into the Pink Gem's monthly challenge too. I love the hand drawn quality to this stamp and I coloured it with Stampin' Up! Watercolour crayons to keep the whole effect soft, apart from her crown & wings where I've used a Sakura Stardust pen for a lovely glittery look. The sentiments is from the SU! set "Fun & Fast Notes" and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place it on the card. I've used SU! DSPs Sweet Always, which are now sadly retired but I still love 'em, SU! cardstock Pretty in Pink and the bling, charm & chipboard corner are all from my stash. I decorated the inside too as I'd already cut out the Princess die-cut and then realised it was far too big for the outside, so put it on the inside instead!

Hope you can join in this week, there's a gorgeous Robin stamp up for a prize donated by Lisa.

Die Cut Dreams and Stamp With Fun

I've combined two challenges with this card - Die Cut Dreams whose theme is Ribbon & Trim along with Stamp With Fun, using their sketch.

I've used a lovely Tilda image that my friend Carly inked up for me - thanks hun, and coloured her with ProMarkers, the gorgeous papers are K&Co and I've layered it all up on SU! Always Artichoke cardstock. The sentiment is SU! Circle of Friendship; the flower has been cut with an X-Cut punch and the green ribbon is SU! Fairytales, the pink is from my stash.

TFL - off to walk the dog now whilst the sun is shining.

Doing the Happy Dance!

Isn't it just the biggest thrill when you scroll down through a blog post and see your name underneath the word "Winner", whether big prize or small I get such a buzz when my name is there and this morning my mouth hit the floor when I saw I'd won Pollycraft's monthly draw, a voucher for £25 to spend in store. Oh does that mean I'll have to go on a shopping spree! *sigh*

To win, all you have to do is enter any of the weekly Monday challenges using a Pollycraft image and your name goes into the draw, easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!!

I'm off to skip around Sainsbury's now (mind you not for the first time! LOL)

Happy Friday!

New Catty Launch

Today's the day - the new Stampin' Up! catty goes live (whoop, whoop) and you can view the online version, which is going live at some point today here.

All new hostess gifts, some gorgeous new stamp sets, fabbie punches, new papers - oh the list goes on & on, but also some favourites from the old catty and the mini are in the new book, so if you still have some on your wishlist (I do!) then all is not lost.

If you'd like to place an order with me, just send me an email (link on my sidebar) and your gorgeous new goodies could be winging their way to you within days.

Right, just trying to phrase how I'm going to explain the large whole I've just made in my credit card to hubby!

Charisma Challenge #39

Here we are again, another week flown by and it's time for Charisma Cardz Challenge. Joanne has set the theme this week & it's decoupage. I haven't done any decoupage in ages but found some old decoupage sheets tucked away in my craft room - when I started crafting all I did was decoupage, but then I discovered STAMPING and the rest, as they say is history! Now of course you can decoupage with a stamped image, digi-image, anything you like, but I have a few sheets featuring these lovely characters, called Toreads, and thought it'd be nice to use one of them.

As the main image is quite colourful, rather than add more colours to the card, I've simply put it onto SU! Basic Black cardstock, which I've stamped with an SU! Snow Burst stamp, blinged up with the use of Heat & Stick powder and some Dazzling Diamonds.

We're giving away three prizes this week, Simon Says is sponsoring our main prize and we're lucky enough to be able to give away two discount vouchers courtesy of Handy Hippo.

Pop over to Charisma here for a look at the gorgeous DT cards and join in this week's challenge.

Ta-tah for now x
