Charisma - Red, Green & White

Another Christmassy theme for you to get your teeth into over at Charisma this week, although of course it doesn't have to be Christmas but it's ideal to help you get the last (I hope) of your cards made! We really enjoyed all your summer creations last week and I hope you can join us for this challenge too.

I've gone for a simple layout with a very cute Santa, the card's a bit darker IRL, the red looks a bit orangy in this picture.

I'm entering the card into two challenges, I heart ProMarkers (as I've used PM's to colour my image in) and their theme this month is Spots and Stripes, and also into DU2DS, who have a theme of red, green plus a neutral.

Got my Thursday morning class this morning, looking forward to seeing my ladies this morning, we're doing non-Christmassy projects today to have a break from it all - although I have got some mince pies to serve up - well it'd be rude not to!

Doodle Palace - new images & a freebie!

It's new release day over at Doodle Palace, there are two lovely new Teddy Bear images & this snail, which is a freebie, so pop over for a look!

I thought this would make a great belated card and I've made the sentiments on the computer, you can't really tell from the picture but I dug out my old shimmery paints for the snail's shell, so IRL his shell has a nice sparkle!

I followed the sketch over at Design Dollies, so I'm entering my card into their sketch challenge and the rest of my card is Stampin' Up! as follows:

I made the card on the weekend and went outside to take the picture and can you see the shadows on the card, yes we had some sunshine, it didn't last though, and once again it's wet & miserable, quite misty here at the moment!

Another non-Christmas card - ooh I'm daring when I've still 1000 or so to make, but it does make a nice change to get out the summery colours now & again. I've made this card for three challenges:

The papers are digi and I cut out the square frame & hearts on my robo, the sentiment I did on my computer.

I've used Stampin' Up! Real Rose cardstock as it worked so well with the papers. I love my SU! cardstock, I've got all 4 colours families and I can honestly say, hand on heart, I do not make a card without using this cardstock as I've always got a colour to match whatever I'm using and it's great quality too.

Sophisticats Week 14

Good morning all, it's a wet and windy one here, yuck what a start to the week. However it is a new challenge week over at Sophisticats. A HUUUUUGE thank you to everyone who joined in with my challenge last week, we had our highest number of entrants, over 60, which is fantastic, the winner will be announced tomorrow.

This week our lovely boss Lisa has chosen the theme and she's gone for:

No image - verse & flowers for any occasion

You may have spotted a distinct lack of flowers on my card, that's because I forgot - oops, was so busy on Saturday making all my DT cards for the week ahead and I missed out the flowers, but I've been forgiven - phew!

I used the sketch from this week's Funky Fairy Challenge, so I'm entering my card in there, and also at Cards for Men, as I think this card has a masculine feel to it.

I've used all SU products on my card as detailed below:

Winter Window

Another Christmas card done, I've made a little scene using an old SU! set "Window Dressing" with the idea it looks like the outside of a house.

I've got a little handheld machine (can't think what it's called) which ripples the card and gives a nice corrugated effect. I used a light, warm coloured paper behind the window to try & give the effect of a lighted window with a view of the Christmas tree, which I've stamped and then put the window on SU! Dimensional to give some depth.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge No. 3

Good morning, it's bright & sunny here in Shropshire, so let's hope it lasts!

Time for another challenge at Sweet Stampin and this week our theme is "Feathered Friends". There's a new prize up for grabs for December & is a fabulous Stampin' Up! Hostess set "Punches Three" and a matching Scallop Square punch - wish I could win as both of these are on my wish list LOL, so it's really worth entering to get your hands on the fab SU! goodies.

Despite the fact I still have a zillion Christmas cards to do, it was nice to make a non-Xmas card for a change and I really enjoyed using the bright and zingy colours on my card, and as my work desk, shelves, craftroom, and me are already covered in glitter I thought I' may as well add some glitter to my little birdies too!

A very difficult to photo Snowflake Card!

I've had a nightmare trying to take a picture of this card and unfortunately this is as good as it gets! It's a very simple card but I've used a very shiny, purple holographic card which under indoor lighting is just reflecting all the light back, so neither picture is particularly accurate as it is actually purple on a satin white cardstock but looks all sorts of colours in the one photo & pink in the other! Oh well, hopefully you get the gist!

I've followed the sketch over at Annabelle Challenges, I really liked the straightforward layout, and they ask for added bling, which with the shiny card & gems, I think I've achieved!

I'm also entering it into two of this week's challenges at Design Dollies, the first is for a purple monotone card (it is purple honestly!) and the second is to have snowflake(s) as the main element of the card.

I've die cut the snowflakes, stamped out my sentiment & used my SU! Word Window punch for the sentiment & the two purple "tags" and added some ribbon from my stash.
