Homemade Henna hand tattoos

My daughter is studying Art at school and for her current project she's doing a study on hands, she wanted something a bit different & came up with the idea of doing a henna style drawing and I was the willing guinea-pig and then I had a go at doing one on her. The top hand is mine with Georgia's drawing & the second hand is my drawing on Georgia. We had good fun doing them and guess what we used? Good old ProMarkers!! We started off with a fineliner but it kept stopping, the oils in the hand I guess weren't doing the ink any good, but the PM kept on going, only problem is, we realised after Georgia had finished my hand that it's permanent ink!! Eek, so don't know how long it'll stay on for! I'm doing a craft fair tomorrow & Georgia's helping me, but at least with our hand art we'll have a unique look about us - either that or we'll frighen everyone away LOL.

Charisma # 31 - Sketch Challenge

Morning all, another great sketch challenge over at Charisma this week from Sally, which got me thinking! I wasn't sure how to go about this at all to begin with, then I turned the sketch on it's side and the triangle made me think of a roof & so decided to go with a New Home card.

All Stampin' Up! except for the sentiment, which is computer generated and the ProMarkers to colour the image in, oh and the brads from my stash, but apart from that it's all SU! LOL.

Recipe:

New Nutshells stamp for 3 Challenges

I was honoured to be asked to be a Guest Designer for Nutshells during August and they sent me a couple of their new, soon to be released scenery stamps, which are lovely. I've used the Fashion Boutique one for this card, which I'm entering into three challenges:

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and have paper pieced the two dresses, the ribbon on the 2nd dress has been coloured with a Sakura Moondust pen and I've used some chalk to colour the background as it looked a bit white without it (I masked the door, window & shop sign first)

The DSP's are digital papers from "Two Peas in a Bucket", the cardstock is Stampin' Up! Taken with Teal & the buttons are from my stash.

Papertake Weekly #20

I've just finished this card as I haven't had a chance to get into my craft room today and the light is fading, so apologies for the poor quality photo.

I've followed the sketch over at Papertake Weekly and the image is from LilyBoo, I applied for a position on their DT & unfortunately wasn't successful but they sent me a set of their gorgeous teddies as a thank you - how lovely is that! I've coloured the bear with PM's, the DSP's are digi-papers from "Two Peas in a Bucket" (love that name!) and the cardstock is Stampin' Up! in Apricot Appeal & Tempting Turquoise. I've put the two strips of turquoise through my Cuttlebug, and the two stick on flowers are from K&Co.

The challenge closes tomorrow, so once again I've got in by the skin of my teeth!

LPSC 26

It's a colour challenge over at The Little Paper Shop this week - Real Red, Brilliant Blue & Pixie Pink. I wasn't quite sure at first how to put these colours together, but went for a summery theme which I thought would work.

The stamp is from Nutshells and I've coloured her with Stampin' Up! markers in Pixie Pink, Brilliant Blue & Real Red & used ProMarkers for her hair & skin. The cardstock is SU! Brilliant Blue, Real Red & Pixie Pink & the DSP's are also SU from the set Summer Picnic, which has the Real Red in it, so I've covered all the colour options there for sure!

I've put the red c/s through an embossing folder on my Cuttlebug & the flower is from my stash.
