Get Sketchy #8

Another sneak peek of a new Doodle Palace image coming out this week - should be on Thursday, I thought this was such a sweetie and I've made my card following the sketch over at Get Sketchy, with the bonus challenge of using brads, so I've added two cute Christmas tree brads on my card.

The picture is a bit over-exposed so the colours are a bit darker in real life, I've used ProMarkers to colour in my image the DSPs are Pebble Ink, cardstock is Stampin' Up! Real Red, I've embossed the centre section using a snowflake folder and the sentiment is a clear stamp I've had for ages in my stash.

Get Sketchy #7

This is my entry for this week's Get Sketchy Challenge, a very simple sketch, which I enjoyed. The card was really quick to do as the image is a solid stamp which I've inked up using SU Markers, so no colouring in to do afterwards, I've matched it up with SU! DSP's and matching cardstock and it came together in about 10 minutes - which is probably a record for me - I can ummm & ahhh for ages! I recently bought a little gadget for crimping paper & cardstock and I've used that on the mustard card to add a bit of texture.

Recipe - All Stampin' Up!
Stamps - new Level 2 Hostess set Whimsical Wings; Circle of Friendship
Stampin' Write markers - Tempting Turquoise; More Mustard; Garden Green
DSP's - Haiku
Cardstock - Tempting Turquoise; More Mustard; Whisper White

Get Sketchy #6 and a Sneak Peek

Here's another sneaky peek of one of the new stamp sets coming out in the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue on 1 Oct, it's a lovely Christmas set called Tree Trimmings and these are two of the stamps from it. I've made this card for the challenge over at Get Sketchy, following their sketch and extra challenge of no patterned paper. I decided to go for a different Christmas colour scheme and looked through my stash of SU! cardstock and put these two together - Taken With Teal and More Mustard and I really like the combo. The stars come from the SU! set In the Stars and I've stamped the Teal c/stock with Versamark and two more stars using More Mustard ink and cut them out. The two strips have been put through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder and that's it, a clean, simple card.

Get Sketchy #3

I've used the sketch over at Get Sketchy for this card and the gorgeous Hanglar image is one of a pile of lovely stamped images I won recently in a candy from Tilde, I just love the Hanglar stamps, so thrilled to have some images to play with.

I've coloured her with PM's and a bit of Sakura Stardust on the wings. The rest of the card is all Stampin' Up!

Cardstock - Bashful Blue
DSPs - Patterns series in Bashful Blue
Ribbon - Chocolate Chip
Sentiment - from the Hostess Level 1 set "Best Yet"
Flowers - cut with XPunch from same DSP.

Very exciting day in Stampin' Up! land as we find out tomorrow what's being retired from this year's catty and get the chance to pre-order some sets from the new catty being launched 1 October - so watch this space for details and remember you can always order any SU goodies from me!
