3 in 1 Christmas Card

I really seem to be struggling to find the time for challenges at the moment, so it was good to do a card I can fit into 3 challenges. I'm entering this one into:

Bee Crafty - Distressing
Cupcake Craft - Sketch
Papertake Weekly - Spots and Stripes

The image is a really love digi-image from Bee Crafty, I actually downloaded this with the intention of doing the last challenge, but missed it, so I'm glad I got to use it this time, I've coloured it with PM's & SU! markers, I've not done a lot of distressing, but have chalked around the edge of the image and the mats with SU! chalks and distressed the spotty paper slightly.

The papers are free digi's from Summertime designs, the cardstock is SU! Elegant Eggplant - am really loving this at the moment, the brad is from my stash & the snowflakes I've cut out with the Cricut.

TFL & have a good Sunday, it's blowing a gale here & I struggled to get a reasonable photo as the sun is in & out all the time.

Bee Crafty Bookmark

Make a bookmark is the challenge over at Bee Crafty, you don't have to use a Bee Crafty image, but she's giving away this fab digi of a stack of books, so I thought it would be rude not to!! I've sat a Hanglar image on the top of my stack of books and have coloured her with ProMarkers and some SU! markers, the books are coloured with SU! markers too (couldn't get my PM's in those tiny spaces!). I've embossed some SU! Pink Passion cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder and cut it out using a C/Bug die. The ribbon & charm are from my stash.

My GD for Bee Crafty No. 9

I was thrilled to bits to be asked to be a GD over at Bee Crafty this week and got the chance to play with one of the new downloads celebrating Summer Fun, which is the theme for this week's challenge.

I love Bee's design's and this whimsical girl is no exception, looking very chilled out enjoying her cocktail (non-alcholic I'm sure!).

I've gone for a bright & colourful theme to fit in with the challenge and the image and used Stampin' Up! cardstock, papers & markers, so it all co-ordinated really easily.

Recipe:

Image: Bee Crafty - Whimsical Girl with drink
Markers: Only Orange, Gable Green, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Summer Sun, Creamy Caramel, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore, Apricot Appeal (skin tone)
C/S: Only Orange, Whisper White
DSP: Rainbow Sherbert
Flowers, brad, heart bead & raffia lace all from my stash.

I'd now like the weather to be sat outside having a fruity cocktail myself!

Funky Fairies & Bee Crafty

A great sketch to follow over at FunkyFairies this week and I've combined it with Bee Crafty's fortnightly challenge, which is Love & Marriage and a freebie digi-image to use. I've coloured my image with PM's, apart from the word Love, which I've paper pieced to get the right shade of pink, I've also chalked around the edges with SU! pastels. The papers are from FunkyFairies "Paisley Love" set, the cardstock is SU! Pixie Pink and the hearts have been cut out with a die (X-Cut I think) using my Cuttlebug. It's a very pink card, but "Lurve" should be!!

Bee Crafty Competition No. 4

I couldn't resist this cute little digi-stamp on Bee's blog and so bought him to enter the competition, you also get a coloured image too, for 99p - bargain!!

I've coloured the image with my new ProMarkers, but it's not on the best quality card (not SU! I hasten to add!) and so has sunk into the card a bit and you can't really see the shading, but I did do a bit - honest! I've also added some SU pastels (chalks) to the sentiment and a very light blue around the edge of the white card the mouse is on to soften it a bit.  I've just bought myself the sponge daubers to go with the pastels and they make using them so much easier.

The papers and sentiment are freebies from Here's A Scrap and I've used SU! cardstock in Real Red.

Bee Crafty - Challenge No. 3

Sometimes I amaze myself - at my stupidity.  I made a card for Bee's challenge this week, went over and posted a link to the post containing my card, before I'd even posted it on here! D'uh? I posted a link to a different card of course & was lucky that Bee took the time to come over & leave a very polite comment telling me she couldn't find it, not surprising as I hadn't posted it at the time!

So here, without further ado, is that card!

The image is one of Bee's and it's a freebie (gotta love a freebie) which I've coloured with Stampin' Up! markers in Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose & So Saffron (which has been watercoloured to make the pale cake filling) yum!! The sentiment is also SU from the Hostess Set "Best Yet" and the gorgeous papers are downloads from Kaboodle Doodles.  The cardstock is SU Chocolate Chip & Whisper White. I've put some Diamond Glaze on the icing to make it look glossy and the brad is from my stash.

Right, I'm now going over to Bee's blog to post the correct link!

A card for many challenges!

Having my daughter at home this week has meant not so much time for crafting, so I hadn't made many cards & still had a long list of challenges I wanted to try & take part in, so this card fills the criteria for 4 challenges, which brings me back up to date a bit! The 4 challenges are:

1. The Pink Elephant - Pink, Green & Yellow
2. DU2DS - Pink & Green
3. Bee Crafty - use a new Bee Crafty Digi-stamp
4. Sketch Saturday - no 46

The image is from Bee Crafty & I've coloured her with SU Stampin' Write markers in Old Olive & Summer Sun, her butterfly net has been coloured with a Sakura Stardust pen and I've paper pieced her dress. All the papers are from FunkyHand's "V Funky" CD and the yellow card is SU Yoyo Yellow. The sentiment is a chipboard sticker from A Pocket Full of Posies, and the little sequin flowers are from my stash.

One card for two challenges

I've been a busy girl this afternoon and this is the second card I've made, which I'm entering for two challenges.
The first is for Sketch and Stash Challenge no. 7 and the new item on this card is the image, which is a free Digi-stamp from Bee Crafty which is the second challenge the card is for.
I've coloured the image with Sakura Glaze pens & also some watercolour pencils; the papers are from Pebble Ink and the pink card is Stampin' Up! Pink Passion.
The sentiment is from HamptonArt, oh first time I've used that stamp too and it's been in my drawer for ages, and the flower embellishments are from my stash.
