Stampacular Sunday No. 20

This is my entry for this week's Stampacular Sunday Challenge "Beary Special", which has to feature stamping & a bear. I've used a Joanna Sheen stamp I've had for ages & never used, so it was nice to get that out and I've paper-pieced the dress as I felt she'd be the sort of bear who'd be wearing a flowery dress rather than just a plain one-colour one (am I thinking about this too much!!). I've embossed the card stock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder & sanded over the Happy Birthday and the edges of the oval to highlight the words a bit more, haven't tried that before so was quite pleased with the result. It looks a bit wonky, but that is just the photo as it's been done with my phone as hubby has got the camera in work!

Recipe:
Stamp - Joanna Sheen
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Pens - ProMarkers
DSPs - Pebble Ink (orange); Stampin; Up! from the set Sweet Always (orange & white)
C/Stock - SU! Chocolate Chip
Ribbon - SU! Chocolate Chip
Flowers - X-Cut Punch and bling from stash
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Nestabilities Ovals

Stampacular Sunday - Party Animal

A great theme over at Stampacular Sunday this week, they want to see an animal on your stamped creation and here's my very sweet party pooch. I fell in love with this stamp and backing paper whilst out crafty shopping with my friend Kaz recently (although is it just me or does anyone else not want to "use" lovely papers - ooh it was hard cutting in to it!!) and I was itching to ink him up . Anyway the stamp is by Little Claire Designs and I've coloured him with a mix of Stampin' Up! markers & PM's, I've decoupaged the balloon because when I cut out the image with a Nestie, I just chopped the very top of the balloon off - oops, but it looks better now, so a happy accident. The backing paper is by Making Memories, I've used SU! c/s Chocolate Chip, put some of it through my bug with an embossing folder & cut a circle out with a Nestie to layer the sentiment, which is SU! from a "Circle of Friendship".

I really love this card, is it ok to say that? LOL but I love the stamp & the colours & design of the paper and think they work great together.

Stampacular Sunday No. 10

For the Boys is this week's theme at Stampacular Sunday and so I've done another Father's Day card & this one is going to be for my dad as it's very apt and could so easily be him behind that paper!

The image is another great one from Digi-Stamp Boutique which I've coloured with ProMarkers, I've kept the card very simple, I've stamped up the background with a Stampin' Up! stamp from the set Seeing Spots using SU Brilliant Blue ink (and used the matching cardstock), the brown paper is SU Tea & Crumpets the sentiment is from Elzybells and the brads are from my stash.

Stampacular Sunday Challenge No. 5

A friend asked me make a card for her mum and I realised it would also work nicely for this week's challenge, which is to make a card for a mum.

The image is Stampin' Up! from the set "A Little Bit of Happiness" which is a Level 1 Hostess Gift and I've coloured it with SU Watercolour Crayons in Mellow Moss; Barely Banana; Pretty in Pink; Pale Plum and Perfect Plum.  The cardstock is matching SU in Mellow Moss & Pretty in Pink & the background papers & mum sentiment are from a FunkyHand CD.  The ribbon which you can just see under the sentiment & the flower are from my stash.

I apologise for the bad photo, I really need to sort out my picture taking, at the moment I'm doing it on my iPhone cos it's so easy to then post it onto my computer, but I've not been happy with the quality for a while, so I may need a re-think!

Stampacular Sunday Challenge No. 3

Black + White + One Other Colour -was the colour challenge this week over at Stampacular Sunday. I've been planning to do this card all week & only got around to it this morning, but finally, it's done.

I've used Pink Petticoat Pretty Doodles papers, which come in a postive & negative for each colour, so I've used the black & white and added some lovely SU Pixie Pink Ink on SU Stamps from "Simply Said" set, plus a bit of ribbon (which is looking a bit wonky - hmmm) from my stash.

The more I use monotone, the more I like it, it gives such a striking look. Going to have to do something about that ribbon though!!

Stampacular Sunday - For The Birds

Challenge No. 2 over at Stampacular Sunday was called "For the Birds" and had to feature stamping and a bird somewhere on the project, so I fufilled both criteria by stamping a little bird. He comes from the SU stamp set "Fun & Fast Notes" and I've coloured him with SU Stampin' Write markers - Not Quite Navy; Cameo Coral and Garden Green. The DP's are also SU from the set Tea Party and the flower embellishment is from my stash (don't know the make sorry).
