Charisma DT Challenge

This is my card for the DT Challenge Carly has set for us over at Charisma this month - to make up a pop-up card. I've never done one before so enjoyed giving this a go. I've used SU card in the middle to make the pop-up section so the finished card is a bit thick, think I'll use a thinner card next time, but still pleased with the result and that the pop-up does in fact pop-up!

The image is another sneak peek of one of the new Nutshells stamps coming out soon, which I've coloured with ProMarkers and used a bit of Cosmic Shimmer paint on the snail's shell.

DSPs - Stampin' Up! Haiku
Cardstock - SU! Whisper White & Barely Banana
Sentiment - SU! Circle of Friendship
Flowers - cut with X-Cut punch & added some bling from stash.

The pop-out I've made on the CraftRobo, getting on really well with this now, and added a lady-bird from the same Nutshells set (don't tell anyone but I dropped an ink pad on the cut-out and needed it to cover the blob I left!! I'm such a messy crafter, it's really annoying!)

Charisma # 32 & Carol's Fun Sketch

It's Charisma Challenge Day again, this week has flown by & I only got my card done yesterday afternoon as I've been a day behind all week & thought it was Tuesday!!

Anyway, this is my DT card for this week, which is a lovely inspirational picture to use courtesy of Carly. We're sponsored this week by All that Scraps so I hope you can join us this week.

I've used Carol's Fun Sketch for the l/out of my card, so am entering it in her challenge and the gorgeous image is one of the very new Nutshells stamps coming soon that I was lucky enough to be sent (with a whole load more of gorgeous fairy stamps, so keep watching!) as part of my August GDT at Nutshells.

I've coloured Coco with ProMarkers; the DSP's are Stampin' Up! from Tea Party; the stars are stamped with Pretty in Pink ink and are from the SU! set "In the Stars"; c/s SU! Pretty in Pink; ribbon & flowers are from my stash.

New Nutshells stamp for 3 Challenges

I was honoured to be asked to be a Guest Designer for Nutshells during August and they sent me a couple of their new, soon to be released scenery stamps, which are lovely. I've used the Fashion Boutique one for this card, which I'm entering into three challenges:

Stamp Something - Paper Piece
Die Cut Dreams - Fashion Frenzy

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and have paper pieced the two dresses, the ribbon on the 2nd dress has been coloured with a Sakura Moondust pen and I've used some chalk to colour the background as it looked a bit white without it (I masked the door, window & shop sign first)

The DSP's are digital papers from "Two Peas in a Bucket", the cardstock is Stampin' Up! Taken with Teal & the buttons are from my stash.

LPSC 26

It's a colour challenge over at The Little Paper Shop this week - Real Red, Brilliant Blue & Pixie Pink. I wasn't quite sure at first how to put these colours together, but went for a summery theme which I thought would work.

The stamp is from Nutshells and I've coloured her with Stampin' Up! markers in Pixie Pink, Brilliant Blue & Real Red & used ProMarkers for her hair & skin. The cardstock is SU! Brilliant Blue, Real Red & Pixie Pink & the DSP's are also SU from the set Summer Picnic, which has the Real Red in it, so I've covered all the colour options there for sure!

I've put the red c/s through an embossing folder on my Cuttlebug & the flower is from my stash.

Pollycraft meets Nutshells

I've combined two challenges with this card - Pollycraft, asking for arrows this week & Nutshells asking for male cards in blue & green.

The image is Pollycraft called Lil Chapz, a lovely digi-set containing 6 great images. I've coloured him with SU! markers in Old Olive (to match the cardstock) and Bashful Blue - and used PM's on his hair & skin, I've raised him onto the card using silicon. The arrows are FunkyFairy from the set Doodlementals (a free, fab download), coloured and raised in the same way & the sentiment is from a set I had in my stash. The DSP's are We R Memory Keepers and the buttons are SU! Old Olive.

3 Summery Challenges

I haven't cropped this image as it's quite ironic, I take my pictures in the porch and you can see on the window the rain lashing down - yep it's Summer alright!

Anyway, onto the three challenges I'm entering this card for, the first is Stamps & Smiles - The Fresh Batch, which was a sketch, the other two are Nutshells and Scrappy Frogs, both of which had a summery theme this week.

The image is one of the gorgeous Nutshells stamps, I really love their stamps, they're great fun and all have a fab summery feel and I've coloured her with ProMarkers, the papers are from FunkyHand's Seasons CD, the c/s is SU! Tempting Turquoise and I've added two little butterfly stickers which I've put first onto acetate and then just stuck them in the middle to give their wings a bit of lift.

Right let's hope this summery card brings the sun back out again - please!

Nutshells Blog Candy & DT Call

There's a DT call over at Nutshells blog (and a lovely candy worth poping over to look at too) I'm doing my darndest to get myself on a DT (one of these days! LOL) and so I thought I'd enter plus I loved the digi-image they were giving away to use anyway.

I've coloured my lovely girl with ProMarkers, I've only got a small collection of PM's at the moment, which is why all my pm colourings are using very similar colours LOL, but it'll grow! I've used SU! cardstock in Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise and the papers and sentiment are some I've had in my stash for ages and I don't know where they're from - sorry! I've added some chipboard flowers and heart shaped buttons from my stash.
