Charisma meets Rubbernecker

There's a fab challenge over at Charisma Cardz this week with some lovely goodies to win from Rubbernecker Stamps who from today are now shipping their gorgeous stamps to the UK.

There will be four winners this week & you can enter up to 3 times, so hop on over & have a look at the fab designs by the rest of the DT, and get your thinking caps on!

I used the "Party Time" set to make my two cards, which is a fab set with 20 different stamps on it & a great range of sentiments.

For the first card I stamped out two of the present stamps using SU! Pixie Pink & Tempting Turquoise ink, cut out circles & scallops using Nesties on the same coloured card, I used another of the stamps to make the background and used a couple of sticky "ribbon" strips down the side of the card (which are from my stash).

For the second card I went for a more subtle look as I think the champagne glass has a lovely "hand-drawn" look to it & I stamped it out with SU! "Apricot Appeal" ink, which I thought worked quite well for champage. The DSP's are SU! from the set Rainbow Sherbert, the c/s is SU! Bashful Blue and Apricot Appeal and the little diamond bits of bling are from my stash.

Hope you'll join us at Charisma this week & have a go at getting your hands on some of these great stamps.

Stamp With Us - Colour Challenge

A bright and breezy colour challenge this week at Stamp With Us and I loved the colours which I decided should be:

Certainly Celery - cardstock; watercolour crayon on her dress & shoes
Bashful Blue - DSP (from the set Washington Apple)
Summer Sun - cardstock, SU markers for the balloon, hair ribbons and the flower on her dress
Real Red - cardstock & SU marker on the balloon

The image is from the set "All in the Family" which I have wanted since I started demoing for SU in February and so pleased to get this week, you're going to be seeing a lot more from this set for sure - it's fab! The balloons are from the set "Birthday Best" and I've used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to put them in the perfect place and layered them with silicon, the sentiment is also from this set.

I used my SU scallop punch on the red card border and the only non SU items are the two blue flowers from my stash and my Nesties used to cut out the circle and scallop circle.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge # 29

The challenge over at Secret Crafter this week was to make a shaped card & as it's for tomorrow I've left it to the last minute - again!! Seem to be doing a lot of that lately, which has resulted in a pretty shabby photo as it's 6pm, wet & dreary & the light outside is awful, that's what happens when you leave it so late to do something.

Quite a challenge for me, I've not done something like this before and it took a while to decide what to do, but then thought of using my trusted Nesties and went from there.

I've used some glittery card (doesn't really show in the picture) for the base, then added 2 smaller scallops cut from Stampin' Up! DSP's Sweet Always set and put the image, from a Stamposaurus stamp on the smallest scallop and coloured her with Sakura Stardust pens for some more sparkle.  I've used the same DSP's and a computer generated sentiment inside the card & hinged the two scallops together with some more DSP - which has a good weight to it, so it's not too flimsy.

I've added some flowers and bling from my stash and a chipboard sentiment, which seemed appropriate.

Stamp With Us Colour Challenge

This yummy looking cupcake was the inspiration for this week's Colour Challenge over at Stamp With Us & this is what I came up with:

All Stampin' Up! products, except for the brad which is from my stash.

Stamp Sets: Garden Whimsy & Circle of Friendship
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip & Creamy Caramel
DP: Sweet Always
Nestabilities used for the circles

Yum, all this talk of chcolate & caramel, I quite fancy a Twix for some reason!

3 Challenges - Penny Black, Sketch Saturday & Charisma Cardz

Made this card yesterday which I can use for three challenges this week.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday's Challenge No. 44, which I really liked.

Penny Black's Challenge - No. 42 was the theme Think Spring, and I thought this little mouse throwing out his flowers had a lovely Spring feeling to it.

And finally, Charisma Cardz were asking for us to use our favourite things on a card, which for me at the moment are definately my Nestabilities, in particular the nested circles & nested scalloped circles, I use these so much and wonder how on earth I managed without them, they certainly make my life easier. I'm now saving up to buy some more of the nested die sets as they're just fab.

So the image is Penny Black as is the sentiment and I've coloured the image in using SU's watercolour crayons, Lavender Lace; Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue (for the basket) and Apricot Appeal for the mouse. I've put some diamond glaze over the balloon to give it a bit of shine.

The DP's are from a FunkyFairy's set called Funky's Garden, I only bought the set yesterday (as they're having a half price sale) and wanted to use it straight away and the cardstock is SU's Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise. The ribbon is from my stash.

2 challenges for the price of 1

One card for two challenges today, the first is for mojomonday which was a sketch, I really liked the layout of the sketch so I decided to use it for this card.

The second is for PinkElephant's Challenge which is a colour challenge to use pink, green & brown.

I decide to combine the two and make a Mother's Day card as it's just around the corner.

The papers and letters are from Funky Hand's Paper Blossom download, the circle and edging has been cut with a Nestability die and the flower embellishments are from my stack.

Quite a simple, straightforward card but I'm pleased with the result.

3 in 1

That's 3 challenges with one card! Sketch Saturday, which gave me the layout, Penny Black's challenge was a Get Well card & Charisma Cardz had an animal theme so the card fits all three.

The stamp is a Penny Black one which I've coloured with watercolour pencils, the roses are done with a Sakura Stardust pen for a bit of sparkle. The papers are Pebble Ink, which I received from the lovely Steph this morning as I won them in one of her giveaways, and put them to use straightaway, the circles and flower border are punched using Nestability dies and the flower embellishments are from my stash.
The only problem is it's not a very good photo, it was a bit dim outside and the colours are a bit stronger than they look in the piccy!
