Yesterday's SU Class

Yesterday was my monthly Thursday class, with my lovely group of ladies, I really look forward to this class as we have such a good old natter, yesterday we only just managed to make our two items, we were gassing so much, and then we ran over as I showed them some sneaky peeks from the new catty - which went down very well.

Anyway, we made a Christmas card & matching gift wallet using the Loads of Love set. The card has been made with the Neighbourhood wheel as the background, with just small bits picked out using a Real Red marker, a really easy card to make but quite effective.

The matching wallet also very simple to do (I would say quick but that wasn't the case!) not clear in the pic but I've used stamps from the Snow Burst set in Versamark over the outside and then made the gift card inside using the truck again.

A lovely session though and I'm very excited as I've now got a 2nd class starting up on Saturday morning, so looking forward to that.

Recipe: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps - Loads of Love; Snow Burst; Neighbourhood Jumbo Wheel
Ink - Basic Black; Real Red; Old Olive; Versamark
Cardstock - Whisper White; Real Red
other - SU! Sticky Strip; Velcro coins

Allsorts Challenge - Male cards

A card for a man - a phrase that strikes fear into many a crafter, what no flowers, no ribbon, no bling? What will I do? Male cards can be so tricky but that's the challenge over at Allsorts this week.

This is one of those "middle of the night" ideas, I was mulling over what to do for my SU class next week and was thinking of Christmas cards and wanted to do a very simple black & white card with some red and came up with this design more or less (but for the Christmas one I'll add the Christmas tree from the set to the back of the truck - that's the versatility with this set!). And I'm really pleased with the result, I've got a male friend's birthday coming up too, so this card is now winging it's way to him. Once I had the actual idea the card was really quick to make, the background is an SU! wheel (love these, so useful) a bit of red colour here & there & raised the truck off the card with SU! Dimensional pads and Voila! done.

All Stampin' Up!, the sentiment actually comes with the matching accessory set, which I don't yet have, so I've just typed it out on the computer.

Stamps - Loads of Love; Neighbourhood
Markers - Real Red; Bordering Blue; Basic Black
Cardstock - Real Red; Whisper White
Accessories - Dimensionals

Charisma # 31 - Sketch Challenge

Morning all, another great sketch challenge over at Charisma this week from Sally, which got me thinking! I wasn't sure how to go about this at all to begin with, then I turned the sketch on it's side and the triangle made me think of a roof & so decided to go with a New Home card.

All Stampin' Up! except for the sentiment, which is computer generated and the ProMarkers to colour the image in, oh and the brads from my stash, but apart from that it's all SU! LOL.

Recipe:
Stamp - Neighbourhood Jumbo Wheel
Ink - Basic Black
DSPs - Washington Apple
Cardstock - Ballet Blue & Ruby Red

We are sponsored again this week by Simon Says with a voucher to spend in the online store, so a great prize on offer & hope you can join in.

TFL x

**Note - have now edited this post so it actually has a picture of the card I made - whoops, silly me!!**
